Once installed and licensed, an application can also be uninstalled from the camera. In this case, the license is being returned to the license pool. It can then be installed on another device.
Applications can be uninstalled in two ways: from the Device Management Portal and directly from the camera GUI.
Uninstalling the application through the Device Management Portal
Prerequisite to uninstall the application using the Device Management Portal is that the camera is in an online environment - it has access to the Internet. Also, the user has to have permission to install/uninstall an app from a camera.
Steps to uninstall the application are as follows:
- log into the Device Management Portal
- select the camera from which you wish to uninstall an application and select the application you wish to be uninstalled:
It will take a couple of minutes for the application to be uninstalled from the camera.
Uninstalling the application through the Camera GUI
Prerequisite for this operation is access to the camera webfrontend and the credentials for accessing the camera.
Steps to uninstall the application are as follows:
- access the camera through your browser and log in
- go to Applications → Overview page
- select the application you wish to uninstall
- click on the Delete button
